TELUS International Philippines opens new site, TELUS House McKinley Exchange

TELUS International Philippines (TIP) is strengthening its position as a prominent contributor to the local Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) sector by reaching another milestone, the opening of its fourth site.

“After a decade of operations in the Philippines under the TELUS brand, creating thousands of jobs and contributing significantly to the local economy, we are now doing even more by expanding our business further with the opening of TELUS House McKinley Exchange in Makati City,” says TELUS International President Jeffrey Puritt.

TELUS’ new McKinley site will welcome more than 2,500 new employees, offering inspiring work spaces for team members, like themed interview and conference rooms, collaboration areas, training rooms, huddle areas, game rooms, a cafeteria, fitness gym, as well as a TELUS International University library.

A pioneer in the global contact center and BPO industry, TIP offers exceptional solutions for customer care, technical support, IT, sales, market research and back-office work. TIP is the Philippines’ leading provider of cost-effective, high-quality contact center outsourcing services and IT solutions for companies in the telecommunications, financial services, computer electronics, gaming, energy and utilities industries.

“We believe TIP continues to thrive and grow because of how we treat our team members, who in turn are committed to delivering exceptional customer service for our customers,” shares Rajiv Dhand, TIP’s Regional Vice-President and General Manager for Operations. “We draw inspiration from our values, with a particular focus on spirited teamwork, agile thinking and a caring culture that puts customers first. At TIP, we endeavor to continue to help transform and develop the country’s BPO industry.”

The local BPO sector stands as one of the strongest pillars of the Philippine economy, with total revenues surging by 19 percent from $15.5 billion in 2013 to $18.4 billion last year—a figure that accounts for 6 percent of the Philippine economy. The IT-BPO sector also continues to be a steady source of job for millions of Filipinos, employing 1.03 million individuals in 2014, up from 900,000 the year before.
