Caltex celebrates milestones and expands network in 2022 with 28 new retail stations, more partnerships

For Caltex, marketed by Chevron Philippines Inc. (CPI), 2022 was a year of milestones as the fuel company celebrated one feat after another throughout the year.

Underscoring its commitment to the country’s progress, Caltex continues to supply diesel to help keep vital power plants running, opened numerous auto service centers, gave away huge prizes to its customers, and poured social investments in areas stricken by natural disasters.

One of its most notable accomplishments was opening 28 new retail sites across the country. Continuing its mission to provide clean, quality fuels to motorists, Caltex has opened stations in Metro Manila, Isabela, Bataan, Bulacan, Pampanga, Laguna, Cavite, Batangas, and Palawan in Luzon; Bohol in the Visayas; and Cagayan de Oro, Davao, and Zamboanga in Mindanao.

Growing Caltex retail network nationwide

One of Chevron’s new stations up north is in Isabela City, Isabela, the second-largest province in the country famous for the Sierra Madre National Park. This Caltex site, situated at National Highway, Gamu, is just a stone’s throw away from several commercial establishments such as restaurants, coffee shops, resorts, and grocery and convenient stores, enabling motorists to get everything they need in one area.

Several new Caltex sites also rose in Pampanga, the culinary capital of the country. In the city of Angeles, Chevron marked three new stations – one each in Barangays Salapungan and Pampang and another at the site of the soon-to-open Landers Superstore-Infinity. A fourth Caltex site opened in the municipality of Magalang.

An hour ride away from Pampanga is another newly opened Caltex site. This new Bataan Caltex station is conveniently situated in a busy street lined with churches, food establishments, and resorts in Orion. With its heavy industries, two freeport zones, and several manufacturing zones, Bataan is a key contributor to Central Luzon’s overall economic activity, and Caltex aims to help grow the economy further with its new station.

East of Bataan, Chevron’s Bulacan retail network expanded with a new Caltex station in Sta. Rita, complementing other Caltex stations servicing locals and travelers in this part of Luzon. A province rich in culture and history, Bulacan is home to heroes and artists and witness to historic events that shaped the nation. It is also famous for its sweets and delicacies, including Filipino all-time favorite pastillas de leche.

In Metro Manila, the new Caltex sites are located in strategic areas to enable motorists to easily gas up. In Quezon City, Chevron opened a station in the new Landers Superstore in Fairview to readily help shoppers fuel up for the ride. Also within Fairview is a Caltex site situated in Dahlia Street, which is surrounded by boarding and town houses, coffee shops, food establishments as well as the Fairview Barangay Hall. Meanwhile, locals and travelers can make a quick stop at the new station in Ortigas Avenue Extension for their fuel and other needs.

To serve motorists south of Manila, a couple of new Caltex sites opened along Molino and Tirona Highway in Bacoor, Cavite. These new stations bring to four the number of Caltex sites in Bacoor, all available to serve residents’ fuel needs.

In Laguna, home to several thriving industries and many natural and cultural tourist attractions, including more than 500 hot spring resorts, Chevron opened a branch in Barangay Bubukal in Sta. Cruz. Our site in San Nicolas, San Pablo is preparing to open its doors to serve our customers need for fuel and other services. Laguna is also known as the Silicon Valley of the Philippines with its numerous electronic and semiconductor companies.

Still south of Manila in Batangas City, a new Caltex station at P. Montecer St. in the town of Malvar will serve motorists and residents in and within the surrounding area. Besides being the second-largest international seaport in the Philippines, Batangas is frequented by tourists for its resorts, beaches, and diving spots. This newest Caltex station hopes to provide all these motorists with a safe and worry-free trip.

In Palawan, a popular tourist destination around the world for its stunning beaches and islands, five new stations will cater to the fuel needs of residents and tourists alike. These new stations are located in Orduja, Mangingisda, Puerto Princesa City, Brookes Point, and Roxas to make traveling smoother and easier for locals and foreigners.

In Visayas, Chevron added two new retail sites in Bohol. These stations, located in the towns of Balilihan and Corella, broaden the network of Caltex stations in Bohol to provide residents and travelers with easier access to Caltex’s fuels and lubricants. Being developed as the vegetable basket of Bohol, Balilihan is growing its agriculture and food industry as well as its transport and logistics sectors.

Farther south of the country, Chevron added a Caltex station in Puerto, Cagayan de Oro. Although several branches are already open and available in the province, this new site is the first in barangay Puerto. Known as the Gateway of Northern Mindanao, Cagayan de Oro is Mindanao’s business, trade, IT, and adventure tourism center. It is also a transshipment point for agricultural and industrial products for surrounding provinces.

Caltex also marked two new Caltex stations in Zamboanga City – one at National Road, Barangay Mercedes, and another in Barangay Manicahan. Locals and travelers can stay fueled up as they explore one of the busiest cities in the Philippines.

In Davao City, Chevron opened a new site on Ladislawa-Buhangin Road. Another station in Mamay road will soon open its doors to cater to motorists. The third largest city in the Philippines and the most populous in Mindanao, Davao City is recognized as one of the most important economies in Mindanao and the third most important urban center in the Philippines for its economic activities, urban build-up, and modern amenities. Finally, traveling further south of Davao, a new Caltex station is now open to offer good quality fuels and products in Bansalan Davao del. Sur.

“Each new Caltex station is a feat for us. Every year, we aim to make our products and services more accessible to our customers to make sure their journeys remain seamless and worry-free,” said CPI Country Chairman Billy Liu.

Chevron milestones in 2022

Besides further expanding its network of retail stations nationwide, Chevron marked several milestones last year. The company continued to build and strengthen power partnerships as reflected in its collaboration with the Quezon Power Philippines, Limited Co. (QPP), which powers the QPP 460MW net-coal power plant in Mauban Quezon, and Aboitiz Power Corporation (AboitizPower), one of the country’s leading energy providers.

As a company that strives to help improve the lives of Filipinos and support communities in need, Chevron also held several relief efforts in 2022. The Biyaheng Pagtulong began as a fuel promo where for every liter of fuel purchased, Chevron and its Caltex network of retailers and marketers donated one peso to help communities still reeling from the destruction caused by Super Typhoon Odette. This resulted in six provinces in Visayas and Mindanao receiving roofing and construction materials to help families rebuild their homes.

Chevron donated new fishing boats worth more than Php1 million to communities where residents’ main livelihood is fishing. Numerous families also received relief packs from this initiative.

Another major milestone for the company was the opening of its 100th Caltex Havoline autoPro workshop, located in Caltex C5 extension, Merville, Paranaque. Caltex offered discounts on fuel for hundreds of Caltex customers.

To celebrate the unwavering trust and support of its loyal clients, Caltex hosted several raffle promos last year. The Caltex Fuel Your Fortune raffle promo, which was concluded last December, gave away a brand-new Toyota Fortuner to three lucky winners and Php5000 worth of Caltex StarCash to 200 lucky motorists.

The fuel company also rolled out the Bantay Biyahe to help motorists and travelers have a safe, convenient and fun trip. Motorists were able to make a stop at selected Caltex stations and enjoy activities and promos. Some stations even provided free blood pressure checkups.

“2022 was a great year for Chevron. We are grateful for all the accomplishments that we were blessed to have this year. We are even more thankful for the opportunity to give back to our loyal customers. None of this would have been possible without their unceasing trust and support,” Liu said.
